Love Show 2012

We’re Doing Something Different…

Dear Love show Artists and Fans,

After 6 years of producing a huge show with hundreds of Artists, lots of moving parts, expensive permits, and myriad details to address, we at the Love show are taking a break from it all and trying something new, and we’d like you to come along!

Even though the large format, open-call show of the past few years isn’t happening, we are still creating opportunities to make honest work about love, on-line and in person. We are eager to have you participate in these twin Love shows and make them awesome, and return to the rollicking hugeness next year!!

Love Show Offerings

The 2012 Love Show will be split into 2 parts, physical and virtual.

The physical showis being held at Launch Pad Gallery, the Love Show’s birthplace, and is aninvitational show open to artists/curators who have been featured in a solo/duo/small group show who have participated in 4 of the 6 Love Shows. There is a size limit of 18″x18″. There are about 40 artists signed up for this show.

The virtual show is taking place right here on this very website, is an open-call show as with all previous Love Shows, is strictly digital (art appears on the website and is available for purchase, but there will be no physical show where the work is hung- for an idea of what it will look like, see examples of last years digital presence here). There’s no size limit on the actual work and no artist fee, but a small sales commission is being deducted and donated to Project Grow, an awesome non-profit here in Portland dedicated to enriching peoples lives through art, yoga, organic farming and so much more.
